I just did a house call to look at upgrading a 20 year old Jenn-Air downdraft slide in range. I was so excited to show my customers the new and improved downdraft range that it became great inspiration to create a blog post.

The new Jenn-Air Downdraft is exceptional in both cooking performance and ventilation efficiency. The new 30″ Dual Fuel Downdraft Ranges JDS1750ES and JDS1750EP and 30″ Electric Downdraft Range JES1750ES offer the latest innovation from the brand that invented downdraft. The self-ventilating range offers dramatic design possibilities, no obstruction of views and a variety of installation options.

Installation Solutions
The new downdraft ranges fit any standard 30″ range opening and replace an existing slide in or a standard 30″ range. The new Jenn-Air downdraft has no overlapping lip around the edges for an easy transition replacing a 30″ freestanding range. However, if a trim is required when replacing an existing slide in range, a trim accessory is available. Other highlights are the marked performance improvement and stylish upgrades.

Exceptional Performance and Elegant Design
Offered in both dual-fuel and radiant electric, these downdraft ranges provide exceptional power as well as ventilation performance. 17,000 BTU brass dual stack PowerBurner provide high heat for searing and fast boiling as well as for providing a delicate simmer. The electric downdraft range features a rapid boil element and a dual zone element to accommodate a wide range of cookware.

Here are a few highlights of the oven:
1. The convection oven is 6.2 cubic feet of capacity for baking and roasting
2. DuraFinish(tm) Protection helps keep the dual-fuel downdraft range’s cooking surface look like new by resisting scratching, staining, and yellowing
3. Soft auto close oven door
4. Telescopic glide rack

The new Jenn-Air downdraft ranges will be available at Mrs. G by the end of July. Give us a call at 609-882-1444 or stop in the store to learn more.

  1. Hi Debbie.
I recently purchased the JDS1750ES and have noticed high temperatures blowing from the oven vent- just above the door. When the oven was set at 425, I was getting readings of 200+. Have you heard anything about this from your customers?
