Mrs. G’s Groundbreaking Ceremony

On Tuesday August 5^th, we held the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the new Mrs. G showroom. Yay! As many of you already know, in April Mrs. G moved a half mile south on Business Route 1 to 2720 US 1 Business, next to Worldwide Wholesale Floor Coverings. We first moved our showroom to our future new warehouse and have been open for business since April 15^th without a minute of uninterrupted business. I’m actually patting myself on the back as I’m writing this blog. You can read more about our temporary showroom and see pictures on our showroom page.

It was a beautiful afternoon, on August 5^th, and we had a great ceremony with everyone who will been a part of the construction. Thank you for all the support and thank you to everyone who came to the ceremony.

This wonderful afternoon was made complete with delicious branded cupcakes that our Appliance Chef Mary Beth made for the event. She wanted to create a snack that ties in with the new color of Mrs. G, yellow, as well as with the groundbreaking theme. The result was two amazing cupcakes, lemon buttermilk and double chocolate cupcakes, complete with Mrs. G and Worldwide Logos on top. After a great groundbreaking ceremony it is now time to look ahead to construction and the final showroom. The new showroom will be in the front of the building right next to Worldwide, as seen in the rendering below.

Meanwhile our temporary showroom will become our new warehouse to complement the showroom. This project is a big undertaking and the new showroom should be complete by the end of 2014. We are so excited for construction to begin. Mrs. G’s will be open during construction in our temporary showroom and you will continue to find great warehouse deals.
