Did you know that Super Bowl Sunday is the best Sunday of the year for pizza sales? With that in mind, we asked Mrs. G’s Executive Chef Mary Beth to give us some ideas on how to take your pizza to another level for your Super Bowl party. She worked with frozen pizza as a base and gave us 3 gourmet topping options. And what’s great about pizza is you can cut it into slices or appetizer size bites depending on the number of guests you’re having. And who doesn’t love pizza!

BLT White Pizza -Super Bowl Pizza

Buffalo Chicken Pizza

BUFFALO CHICKEN PIZZA: Take your favorite 4 cheese pizza (one with a mixture of cheddar, mozzarella, provolone & asiago) and top with frozen cooked buffalo chicken strips or pre cooked grilled chicken strips tossed in premade buffalo hot sauce (Texa Pete’s). Bake as directed and top with blue cheese crumbles, fresh chopped scallions. FInish off with a drizzle with creamy ranch dressing.

PHILLY CHEESESTEAK PIZZA - Super Bowl Pizza

Philly Cheesesteak Pizza

PHILLY CHEESESTEAK PIZZA: Take your favorite frozen cheese or margarita pizza and top with cooked sandwich steak meat ( I like to cook my steak meat with some diced sweet onion, salt, pepper and garlic). Cook as directed. Remove from oven and top with some scattered teaspoons of “Cheez Wiz” or shredded provolone cheese. Return to oven for 5 minutes – just until cheese melts. Remove from oven and top with some sliced hot pepper rings.

BLT WHITE PIZZA: Take your favorite frozen white pizza (I used Stouffers French Bread Pizza) and top with sauteed fresh spinach, fresh grape tomatoes (cut in half & tossed with alittle olive oil and garlic & herb seasoning), and chopped cooked bacon. Bake in oven as directed. Finish with some fresh grated parmesan cheese, fresh chopped basil leaves and a balsamic syrup drizzle. Serve whole or cut into pieces as an appetizer.

Delicioso! Stay tuned for Mary Beth’s own blog The Appliance Chef, where she’ll share recipes prepared on the variety of brands and appliances available here at Mrs. G!
