Black Friday 2010, the discount shopping day that follows Thanksgiving, officially is Friday, November 26th. However, to overcome the economic dull drums and get consumers excited about shopping many retailers have started their Black Friday Sale as early as November 1st.  Black Friday sales have become a season and not just a single day event.  Yes, Mrs. G’s jumped on the early bird Black Friday Sale bandwagon with up to 40% savings that started November 11th and runs thru November 29th.  Our 8 page circular is now available on our website. The circular will be in the Trenton Times on Sunday November 21st and copies are available now at Mrs. G’s.  Check out our 12 Billion Dollar Buying Power Black Friday 2010 video produced by Robert Bucci from New Response Marketing.

After scanning our circular and watching my video you can see that by being a member of the largest buying group in the country, with over 12 billion dollars in buying power, Mrs. G’s Black Friday circular is full of incredible discounts because we buy better, sell lower and we treat our customers like family.

Many great deals on select home appliances and TV’s are not available until Black Friday, November 26th. No worries, you do not have to wait until then and battle the crowds and traffic. Mrs. G’s will be happy to take preorders.

I am very excited about the national movement spearheaded by American Express Open, the small business arm of American Express, designating Saturday November 27th as Small Business Saturday, to support local business and help boost the economy.  This campaign was launched on Facebook for business owners and consumers. My mother actually gave me the FYI about the event after reading about it in The Palm Beach Post. How about that! Mrs. G’s was one of the first 10,000 to sign up to get $100 in free Facebook advertising. Let me know if you catch the advertisement. It will be geo-targeted to the Princeton, NJ area. Also, take advantage of American Express $25 statement credit, offered to the first 100,000 cardholders who register their card and use it to shop at a locally owned small business on Small Business Saturday. For everyone who ‘likes’ Small Business Saturday on Facebook, American Express will donate $1 to Girls Inc., an organization inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. How great is American Express? So great! If you are a small business owner check out American Express Open Forum. I love their newsletters!

Support locally owned businesses this holiday season but most important be careful, be thankful and hug your family and friends.

Have a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving!
